Quality of Care
San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH) is committed to providing care you can trust. This means working as a team, keeping up with best practices, and continuously improving our systems. It also means listening to and partnering with our patients and their families. We believe engaging patients and families as partners in care is crucial to health and healing. In the spirit of Sacred Work, we approach our role as caregivers with a strong sense of responsibility and strive to provide a health care environment that is safe, respectful and compassionate.
As part of this commitment, we believe in being transparent with our quality and safety outcomes. Transparency means our patients, physicians, staff and community have access to appropriate information in order to understand how well we are providing care in comparison to state and national benchmarks. Our information can be compared with others so you can see if we are better, worse or at the same level. Our goal is to be responsive to your needs, wishes, and concerns so that we can learn how best to care for you. We want you to feel free to ask questions until you understand the answers, to challenge us if you are unsure about your plan of care, and to feel supported by your health care team and our organization.
