San Joaquin Community Hospital to Receive $12,000 from Ladies' Auxiliary
What: The Kern County Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary will present a check of more than $12,000 to San Joaquin Community Hospital’s Grossman Burn Center.
When: Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.

Why: In June 2009, SJCH brought Bakersfield its first full-treatment burn center. Since opening, the SJCH Burn Center has treated more than 200 patients. Of those patients, nearly 40 percent have been children. Recently, the Ladies’ Auxiliary held a fundraiser where 100 percent of the proceeds went to the SJCH Burn Center.
