San Joaquin Community Hospital Wins Nine National Marketing Awards
San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH) has won nine national health care marketing awards for their work in 2009. The SJCH Marketing/Communication Department competed with more than 4,000 entries from around the country for this year’s 27th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. A national panel of judges were engaged in reviewing all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
Here is a complete list of the awards, given by the Healthcare Marketing Report to SJCH:
- Gold Award for “Mission in Action” spread (appeared in Bakersfield Magazine’s 2009 Health Issue). Category: “Magazine Single”
- Gold Award for Health Matters Magazine. Category: “External Publication”
- Gold award for Lights and Sirens Invitational letterhead and logo. Category: “Logo/Letterhead”
- Silver Award for Admitting Guide. Category: “Patient Handbook”
- Silver Award for Stroke and Chest Pain Public Service Announcements (PSAs). Category: “Health Promotion Program”
- Bronze Award for Foundation Video. Category: “Special Video Production”
- Merit for 2009 Annual Report. Category: “Annual Report”
- Merit for Sacred Work Campaign. Category: “Employee Communication Program”
- Merit for Become Brochure. Category: “Professional Recruitment”
“This past year was a banner year for our hospital,” said Jarrod McNaughton, vice president of Marketing and Development. “This is actually the second year in a row that we captured national awards and it feels great to be among the best in the country for what we do right here in Bakersfield.”
In addition to the SJCH Marketing/Communication team, many individuals and organizations played a vital part in creating these award-winning pieces.
