Core Measures

Core Measures are specific treatments and tests that should occur during a patient’s hospital stay for certain disease processes. There recommended treatments and medications are based on research and national guidelines to ensure patients receive best practice care. We participate in the national database for core measures and our data is compared to other hospitals.

In 2010, we initiated a Lean Six Sigma project to improve our scores with the goal of meeting all indicators 100 percent of the time. Our core measures team, led by a black belt Lean Six Sigma specialist, is working to enhance are compliance with our core measures.
