San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH) is your comprehensive source for all health care needs. Serving Bakersfield and the outlying communities of Kern County since 1910, our mission is to share God's love with our community by providing physical, mental and spiritual healing. It's a calling we embrace by treating our patients and guests like family, as well as  providing innovative medical programs and state-of-the-art technology.

From Bakersfield's first full-treatment burn center to the first Nationally Certified Stroke Center between Los Angeles and San Francisco, we invite you to take a moment and familiarize yourself with all of the services offered at SJCH.     In the 1972, SJCH became the first hospital to perform open-heart surgery in Bakersfield. We've continued to build on our heritage of heart-healing by becoming a Nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center.
