Chestpainwebsite

In the 1972, San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH) became the first hospital to perform open-heart surgery in Bakersfield. Nearly four decades later, as a Nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center, we continue to make the commitment to deliver outstanding cardiac care to our community.

Being a Nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center means:

  • Our 24/7 on-call Cardiac Alert Team is always ready.
  • A specially-trained RN monitors our ER waiting room.
  • Diagnosis and life-saving treatment within minutes.
  • The latest technology, including our advanced digital cath lab suites.
  • Cardiac rehab from The SJCH Wellness Center.

If you’re having a heart attack, immediately call 911 and ask the ambulance to take you to the Chest Pain Center at San Joaquin Community Hospital.
