Increasingly, non-profit, faith-based hospitals like SJCH must depend on the generous support of individuals, organizations, businesses and private foundations to provide the margin of excellence our communities need and deserve. Through participation in the Foundation's fundraising programs, the community links with the Hospital in a partnership of mutual benefit. Giving opportunities include:

• Special events such as the annual Golf Tournament and the Gala
• Major gifts and pledges, which can be made over a period of years and given in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property
• Bequests in a will or living trust
• Gifts through retirement plans or insurance policies
• Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts that provide income to the donor or designated beneficiary for life or a period of years, and a gift to San Joaquin in the future

The Foundation's professional staff provides assistance to donors and their advisors with information on the benefits of charitable gifts in financial and estate plans. Seminars, publications and personal presentations are offered, and management of selected life-income gifts is also available.
